Why ?
Why is it that we have life insurance.. When after we are dead we are no longer related to our family !! So why leave money for them ?
Why do we have fixed time for meals.. and do not eat when we are hungry ?
Why do we sleep at night ..and not when we are sleepy ?
Why do we train our kids (in school) like animals.. rather than giving them freedom to be creative?
Why do girls grow their hair longer then boys (usually) ? When in nature the males always have more hair !! (see the Lion.. or even Humans – Men have more body hair)
There are so many such questions that have no answers.. What say ?
I am not saying that these are wrong things to do.. But over conditioning onself tends to make one lose creativity !!

this is a great post cos it makes me think. Yes WHY do we always condition ourselves to the norms and tradition? Maybe cos we r afraid to go beyond routine? Maybe cos humans r always conditioned by nature? Maybe cos we r all followers and not leaders.

I guess that answers most of these questions!It is something which started off years ago and everyone blindly follows it..
It is important however to know why something came into being years ago and then based on the reasons decide if we want to follow it or not...Maybe the first instance a life insurance policy came into effect its purpose was alltogetehr different than what it is today.
Maybe initially the only time people could eat was after they got back frm work since food was not readily available evrywhere as today. They used to eat fresh home cooked food earlier, so after a long day from work..they used to et at fixed time coz thats when they actually were hungry.
