Perfect 10

Lot of you have mentioned that I wrote mostly about my son and rarely about my daughter.. Well here goes..
Eesha, my daughter, turned 10 last weekend.. And boy !! has she matured..
Actually, at times, she still behaves like a kid.. trying to be extra nice to me when she wants a gift.. And acting very sad when her grades are not upto the mark.. But at other times, she is very responsible.. She looks after her younger brother when they go out for birthday parties alone, she participates in family debates across the dining table..and is quite caring as a person.
I was debating as to what I should be buying her as a birthday gift.. Finally settled for a bicycle, one with 18 gears.. She was overjoyed..
Because it was a landmark birthday (her 10th), we celebrated it in style.. With a party for all her friends.. another 6-7 years and she would not want to celebrate her birthdays with us .. and would rather spend the day with her friends..
Last month, when we were at Switzerland, Eesha and I were walking down the Chapel Bridge at Lucern and I asked her if she will remember this day when after 20 years she may be walking down this very bridge with her husband instead !!
She got pretty sentimental !! That's my gal !!

@ mtalz: Thats a nice pun, in its own way

@ Parag
'Extra nice when she wants a gift' does not show that she behaves like a kid-it shows she's learnt to be street smart! Hahah

Eesha got senti thinking of 20 years hence, well I think you must have been even more sentimental to have mentioned it to her :)
